Safari Garden Cisarua

Taman Safari or Safari Garden is a conservation place for animal and plant where animals from all continents roam freely in this 35-hectare park. It is also fuctioned as drive thru zoo and amusement park. Located in Raya Puncak Street number 106 Cibeureum village, Cisarua - Bogor, West Java province. Safari garden opens daily from 9.00 am - 5.00 pm and every Saturday night open for Night Safari. Entering this place you will be charged for admission fee around 50,000 - 70,000 IDR per person and 5,000 - 20,000 IDR per vehicle (2008).
Taman Safari’s collection included some of rare animal species such as Lowland Anoa (Bubalus depressicornis), White Tiger, Malayan Tapir (Tapirus Indiscus), Babirusa (Babyrousa babyrussa) and Rhinos (Rhinoceros sundaicus). There are also many kind of trees and flowers.
The amusement park has Sky Lift facilities where you can see all around from above by cable car, also other facilities
like swimming pool, spinboat, water cycling, ghost house, giant wheel, train to see African style village, circus, Bird Park etc. The park also present free animal education show twice a day like lion, elephant, birds of pray, etc.
There also has place for gathering party with 100 - 3,000 people’s capacity. If you like to night stay there are hotel, caravan and some restaurant.
How to get there?
From Bandung city you are heading to Bogor via Puncak. At Cisarua intersection turns left and follows the road to enter the gate. The distance is around 80 km.
From Jakarta you are heading to Puncak via Jagorawi Toll highway. At Cisarua intersection turn right and follow the road to enter the gate. The distance is around 80 km.
Travel tips:
- If you go by public bus, go to Kampung Rambutan bus station, take bus to Bogor then take minibus public transport to Cisarua.
- Some peddlers and merchants can be quite pushy, so be firm refusing them if you do not want to.
- On Sunday or public holiday traffic to Puncak will be overcrowded from bothside.
